Game #1: New Orleans Pelicans at Memphis Grizzlies Game Thread

The New Orleans Pelicans will kick off their 2023-24 campaign against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, looking to start quickly out of the gates similar to last season.

The Pelicans steamrolled the Nets in Brooklyn one year ago and then raced out to a 23-12 record in the Western Conference. The wheels fell off after that, but the group did show us that when the core is largely healthy, they have the talent to compete with anyone. Can the Pelicans begin another season in promising fashion considering the preferred starting lineup will be on the floor?

Be sure to read up on everything you need to know about tonight’s contest — Memphis will be without Ja Morant and Steven Adams — as well as the 2023-24 season with a slew of articles posted earlier today on the website.

  1. 1st positive is Val’s nemesis Steven Adam’s being out for year. Adam’s has dominated him last few years

  2. Whether or not we win this game, Grizz are a superior organization..they assemble talent in a thoughtful way consistent with the team they want to have, and they are deep.

  3. A lot of good(43.8% on 3’s) and a lot to clean up (20 turnovers) But I’ll take the win.

    GEAUX PELS!!!
