The New Orleans Pelicans will kick off their 2023-24 campaign against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, looking to start quickly out of the gates similar to last season.
The Pelicans steamrolled the Nets in Brooklyn one year ago and then raced out to a 23-12 record in the Western Conference. The wheels fell off after that, but the group did show us that when the core is largely healthy, they have the talent to compete with anyone. Can the Pelicans begin another season in promising fashion considering the preferred starting lineup will be on the floor?
Be sure to read up on everything you need to know about tonight’s contest — Memphis will be without Ja Morant and Steven Adams — as well as the 2023-24 season with a slew of articles posted earlier today on the website.

1st positive is Val’s nemesis Steven Adam’s being out for year. Adam’s has dominated him last few years
First positive is JV nemesis Steven Adam’s out for year. He has dominated JV last 2 years.
JJJ terrorizing right now…
Like to see Dyson taking it to rim like thst
One shooter with this lineup. What is Willy doing?
LNJ looks healthy
Whether or not we win this game, Grizz are a superior organization..they assemble talent in a thoughtful way consistent with the team they want to have, and they are deep.
Ryan providing outside shooting.
Could Matt Ryan be an X factor?
Wait I thought the 2nd quarter was our bad quarter
Need to cut down on turnovers in 2nd half. 11 too many in first half.
Grizz trying to play bully ball..Z having none of it
Does it surprise anyone that Marcus Smart would end up playing for the Grizz?
No. Perfect fit
Our frontcourt has 10 turnovers (including LNJ with 2)
I’d like to see this CJ for 82,games
A lot of good(43.8% on 3’s) and a lot to clean up (20 turnovers) But I’ll take the win.
GEAUX PELS!!!
A win!!!
