CJ McCollum is out with a right adductor strain that is expected to sideline him for two to three weeks. Sharpshooter Trey Murphy III has yet to play this season due to a a right hamstring strain that is expected to keep him out for one more week.
Though undersized, Nowell is considered a very athletic combo guard with strong scoring ability in isolation situations. He is a solid defender and a good outside shooter, though he’s converted under 32 percent of his attempts from distance in his career.
