Pelicans Face Tall Task In Extending Win Streak Over Spurs to Seven Straight

NEW ORLEANS – After a rough, three-game losing streak, the New Orleans Pelicans look to close out their road trip with back-to-back wins as they face the stumbling San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.

The Pelicans are currently sitting in the seventh spot in the Western Conference, one game from getting back into the top six. San Antonio has just 10 wins on the season, though they have talented, young building blocks in Devin Vassell and Rookie of the Year favorite Victor Wenbanyama. Add to the fact that New Orleans has won six in a row versus the Spurs, the Pelicans are primed to start February with a much-needed win.

However, they may enter the game short-handed once again. The Pelicans could once again be without Zion Williamson, Herb Jones, and potentially Larry Nance Jr. That would put a lot of pressure on the Pels’ undersized front court against “Big Vic.”
