The NBA and the New Orleans Pelicans released their schedules on Thursday afternoon. The Pelicans will start the season at home in the Smoothie King Center against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, October 23.
The Pelicans will embark on a four-game, two-city trip to the West Coast for games against the Portland Trail Blazers (Oct. 25, 27) and Golden State Warriors (Oct. 30, 31).
The Pelicans will be featured on national television 13 times during the 2024-25 campaign.
ESPN is scheduled to broadcast six Pelicans games – at Oklahoma City (Nov. 13), at Denver (Feb. 5), at Dallas (Feb. 21), vs. Memphis (Mar. 9), at Minnesota (Mar. 19), and at LA Clippers (Apr. 2). TNT will broadcast three Pelicans contests – at Golden State (Oct. 29), at Phoenix (Feb. 27), and vs. LA Clippers (Mar. 11). NBA TV will televise four Pelicans matchups – at Memphis (Nov. 29), vs. New York (Dec. 21), at Philadelphia (Jan. 10), and at Memphis (Jan. 24).
Just under half of the Pelicans’ home schedule will be played on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with 19 games on the weekend.
New Orleans has its longest homestand from Dec. 21-30, when the team faces New York, Denver, Houston, Memphis, and the LA Clippers. They will play 8 of 10 games at “The Blender” between Dec. 21 and Jan. 8. The Pelicans’ longest road trips are three four-game stints stretching from Oct. 25-30, Feb. 3-10, and Feb. 27-Mar. 4.
